Rhonda DeChambeau is a poet and writer living in Massachusetts. She grew up in a small town and had her first short story published while she was in high school. She graduated with a degree in English from Harvard, where she also cleaned student bathrooms (a job she did not love but paid well) and taught conflict resolution to fourth graders in the Boston area (which she did for free because she loved it).
She married her high school sweetheart and lived briefly in Missouri and Maryland where he was stationed with the Army. She joined the Federal workforce in Human Resources and worked in various positions putting her conflict resolution skills to work. Over her twenty years as a civil servant, she learned lots and somehow always managed to work with good people.
In 2016, she went back to school to earn her Masters in Fine Arts in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Since then she has made writing a priority and discovered she had a lot to say. Her stories have heart and feature young characters finding their way in the world. She is still married to her high school sweetheart, and her first readers are always her two kids who are her biggest fans.
